Janelle Walker began her career in hospitality sales while residing in the Tidewater area of Virginia with Best Western International and the Marriott Corporation. After relocating with her family to Florida, she attended Florida Gulf Coast University and received an alternative teaching license in special education where she taught elementary children.

In 2017, she moved into the non-profit sector, first as a Major Gifts Officer for Christian Blind Mission International and then locally with The Family Place of Transylvania County as Director of Development.

Janelle is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where she holds a degree in Hotel, Tourism and Restaurant Administration from the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management.

She lives in Pickens with her husband, Harry and two daughters and grandson nearby. You can find her and her family on the lake or a trail with their three pups – Benji, Lincoln and Tucker.
