Deneisha Scott-Poe

Assistant Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy; Clinical Director

Deneisha Scott-Poe is the Clinic Director for the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at the Spartanburg location. She received her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University. She is completing her doctoral degree in Human Development with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Virginia Tech and will be defending her dissertation in Spring 2023.

Her area of research focuses on aging African American families, Alzheimer’s disease caregiving, and how clinicians can better work with older African American adults and their families.
