Bella Weaver
Bella Weaver is the School of the Arts Assistant Technical Director at Converse University.
After graduating from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering Technology, Bella was selected by Spotify to be a part of their EQUAL Residency program. Spotify created the EQUAL residency program to provide women audio engineers the opportunity to work in recording studios. Bella worked as a studio engineer in Spotify’s recording studio in Nashville, Tennessee. Throughout her time at the Spotify Nashville Studio, Bella recorded many artists and helped them fulfill their musical dreams. Some of the artists and songwriters she worked with were Bandits on the Run, Wayland, Lunchbox Rachel, Lunelle, David Sneddon and Theo Hutchcraft, and many more.
After her time with Spotify, Bella worked as a freelance audio engineer. She continued to record many of the same artists she worked with at Spotify, and she also worked for the nonprofit organization, Girls Write Nashville. Girls Write Nashville is an after-school program provided to middle and high school students to teach them how to write songs, play instruments, and run a recording session. Bella taught middle school students about audio engineering, and she also recorded many of the songs they wrote.
Bella is originally from Florence, South Carolina. When she is not working on audio engineering projects, Bella loves to build Legos, flip through vinyl at record stores, make lattes with her espresso machine, and spend time with her orange tabby cat, Gus.
