Converse Student & Faculty Exhibit at Artist Guild of Spartanburg
Converse Art & Design department will be out in full force during the Spartanburg Art Walk on May 19, 2022, at the Artist Guild of Spartanburg Gallery.
Assistant Professor of Art Therapy Laura Zeisler will present her community-based photography project, “Snapshots of Resiliency: A Community Based Response to COVID-19.” The project, supported by a community grant from the Chapman Cultural Center, comprises more than 800 images created as a response to reducing social isolation through intergenerational documentation of the COVID-19 pandemic’s narrative.
Converse Studio Art major Caitlin Kilpatrick ’24 will also be at the Artist Guild, accepting the “Judy & Brant Bynum Fine Art Award” for rising juniors. Caitlin’s mono-print, “Ohio Is For Lovers” will be on display at the Artist Guild Gallery during the award ceremony on May 19, 2022.
