Non-Degree Seeking Students
Interested in test-driving our graduate classes before you apply to a program? Perhaps you’re an educator looking for a course to fulfill a certification or Read to Succeed Literacy requirement. Maybe you want to prove to yourself that you can succeed in graduate school. Come give Converse a try!
Students may apply for “special status,” as a non-degree seeking student. Any student intending to complete a degree program may not exceed 12 credit hours as a non-degree seeking student.
2024-2025
Online and On-Campus Course Tuition: $500 per credit hour
Directed Independent Study Tuition: $575 per credit hour
Other Fees:
Term Access Fee: $80 each Fall/Spring term; $50 each Jan/Summer term
Graduation Fee: $150

Non-degree seeking students, or “special status,” are not eligible for financial aid. Students must pay for their courses at the time of registration.
Students not currently admitted or enrolled in a Masters or Ed.S. program at Converse University may apply as a non-degree (special status) student.
- Complete the Special Status Application and submit to Gail Reeves in the Office of Graduate Studies
- Select your courses from our Course Offerings
- Complete the appropriate Registration Worksheet and submit to the Office of the Registrar
- You will need to make payment arrangements with the Student Billing Coordinator. You will not be registered for the course until arrangements have been completed.
