Sommer T. Means serves as a Retention Support Specialist at Converse University, where she leads student success and retention efforts through data-informed outreach, early intervention, and student progress monitoring. She analyzes retention data to identify trends and evaluate intervention effectiveness, while collaborating with faculty and campus partners to support at-risk students. She also partners with Athletics to address student-athlete concerns.

Ms. Means holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master of Management (MIM) degree in Community Advocacy at Converse University. Her professional background includes roles with United Way of the Piedmont, The Forrester Center for Behavioral Health, and Piedmont Community Action, where she supported individuals and families through counseling, advocacy, and community resource navigation.

Outside of her professional work, Ms. Means is a proud mother of two bright and resilient teenagers and an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, where she remains committed to service, leadership, and community engagement. She is passionate about creating pathways of support that help individuals persist through challenges and continue moving forward with confidence and purpose.
