A Curious Heart, biography of author and Converse graduate, Elizabeth Boatwright Coker (Class of 1929), written by her daughter and granddaughter, was released in 2024.
Elizabeth Boatwright Coker, was editor of the literary magazine at Converse, the author of 9 novels, and was inducted into the South Carolina Academy of Authors in 1990.
A conversation with authors, Penelope Coker and Eliza Ingle, will be held at in Zimmerli Commons at Converse University on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 4:30-6:00 PM. Author and Converse Trustee, Michel Smoak Stone ’99, M.Ed. will facilitate the conversation.
