Serger Jimenez Sanchez is a native of Greenville, South Carolina, and joins Converse University as an Admissions Counselor. A passionate advocate for access to the arts and higher education, Serger brings a deep commitment to supporting students. Especially those navigating college as first-generation scholars, much like he once did.

With a dual degree in Theatre and Hispanic Studies, he has been actively involved in theatre organizations, served as president of his campus Hispanic organization, and developed a strong interest in Latin American and queer theatre. His study-abroad experience in Costa Rica further shaped his multicultural perspective and dedication to inclusive storytelling.

Beyond his professional role, he loves to travel and remains actively engaged in the theatre community, with a particular passion for Latin American theatre and projects that uplift underrepresented voices.

In his work at Converse, Serger is excited to guide new students as they begin their own journeys, helping them find confidence, community, and a sense of belonging.
