October 15 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Katie looking at a status of Mozart

In a fun-filled and interactive lecture-recital based upon her Mozart Snapshots series for Colorado Public Radio, Katie explores Mozart’s relationship to his hometown of Salzburg and discusses the impact that it had on his development as a composer and a man.

Delving into such topics as Mozart’s early life and family, the moment his talent was first discovered, his travels and education, his sense of humor, his relationship to the archbishop, and more, Katie will take us on a 75-minute journey into Mozart’s world. The lecture will include brief musical examples and video clips which will take you along with her to places in Salzburg that have a special connection to Mozart, like the Mozart Geburtshaus (the home where he was born!) and castles, palaces, and churches like the Festung Hohensalzburg, Schloss Hellbrun, the Salzburg Cathedral, and many more!

Join us for this special evening of fun conversation, music, travel, and discovery of just who Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart really was!
