Her latest single\, “Look What You’ve Done\,” is currently Top 10 and climbing. \nSouth Carolina-native and Converse graduate\, Tasha Layton launched her music career in Los Angeles\, quickly becoming an in-demand session singer. She appeared on Season 9 of American Idol and spent four years as a back-up vocalist for pop superstar Katy Perry. DESCRIPTION:The Spartanburg community is invited to join us on December 2 at 8:00 p.m. to enjoy the annual Festival of Lessons and Carols in Twichell Auditorium. \nFestival of Lessons and Carols celebrates the Christmas season with traditional carols and hymns\, along with student-led scripture readings. Spartanburg Festival Chorus\, Converse Wind Ensemble and Converse Chorale will perform these beloved\, traditional songs between the readings. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Fall concert by the Converse Symphony Orchestra\, featuring this year’s Young Artist Competition Winners. Under the direction of Dr. Siegwart Reichwald\, the concert includes works by Edvard Grieg\, Ernest Bloch\, Carl Maria von Weber\, Léo Delibes\, and Gabriel Fauré\, with performances by Ahdiayah Horton\, viola; Cassandra Shaddock\, clarinet; Annabelle Martin\, soprano; and Kaylyn Good\, soprano. \nKindly note that all audience members must follow the Converse University COVID protocol\, including mask-wearing and distancing regardless of vaccination status.
