SUMMARY:2020 Lessons and Carols
DESCRIPTION:Festival of Lessons and Carols is a customary worship that celebrates the Christmas season. Traditionally\, this event would feature a stage filled with members of the Spartanburg Festival Chorus\, Converse Wind Ensemble\, Converse Chamber Singers\, and Converse Choral\, who would perform beloved traditional songs between student readings. \nLike many things this year\, we’ve had to adjust but Lessons and Carols\, while slightly different\, will remain a part of Converse’s holiday traditions. In lieu of hosting this event in person\, Converse is recording a modified version of Festival of Lessons and Carols. This shortened celebration will include music and select verses of the Christmas story. The video will be shared in December with alumni and friends via email and will also be posted to the Converse website. If you’re not currently receiving Converse emails\, sign up here! \nLuminary submissions that were received by Friday\, November 13th will be recognized at the end of the video. \nWe look forward to sharing this time-honored tradition with you virtually.
