We at The Petrie School of Music could not be more excited to announce Courtney Elise LeBauer as our new violin professor. Although she’s a native of North Carolina, we poached Ms. LeBauer from the Clara-Schumann-Musikschule in Düsseldorf, Germany, where she was on the faculty for some years after completing a post-doctoral Fulbright Fellowship in Germany. Ms. LeBauer graduated with highest honors from Rice University and the University of Michigan before earning her doctorate from Cleveland Institute of Music. She’s been copiously praised by critics on both sides of the Atlantic. And where better to meet her than at the gracious and convivial confines of the Piedmont Club, where we’ll enjoy a return of light classics and showpieces as Ms. LeBauer is joined by her colleagues and – even better – some of The Petrie School of Music’s most talented students.
