Rebecca Daniels

A native of the Greenville/Spartanburg area of the Upstate, Rebecca received a Master of Liberal Arts in History from Converse in 2015. An internship in the local history department of the Spartanburg County Public Library during her graduate studies introduced her to collecting and curating archival materials and led to a full-time position after graduation. She has spent the last seven years working closely with researchers and learning the best practices for archival handling, storage, and preservation. Rebecca returned to Converse in 2021 as the Director of Archives and Special Collections with the goal of making the school’s history more easily accessible for both the Converse family and outside researchers.

Rebecca lives in Duncan, SC with her husband Jeff and their two dogs, Abby and Sammie. She is obsessed with hot tea and all things Tolkien and spends her free time crocheting toys, blankets, and accessories for her family and friends.
