Abreeotta Williams joined the faculty of Converse College in the fall of 2019. She earned her PhD in Plant Molecular Genetics, MS in Biology, and BS in Biology from Alabama A&M University in Normal, AL. Her professional interests include Plant Molecular Pathology and Nematology. She is currently working on the interaction between Rotylenchulus reniformis (reniform nematode) and Gossypium hirsutum (upland cotton). She currently teaches Introduction to Biology, Microbiology, and Human Anatomy.

In her free time, Abree enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, and sewing. Originally from the Mobile, AL, she’s traveled the world in search of good food and amazing people. She looks forward to the beauty of the upstate!
