SUMMARY:EXHIBITION: Spartanburg Community College Faculty Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Converse University is proud to present a showcase of artwork from the Spartanburg Community College faculty. The exhibition will include such diverse media as printmaking\, photography\, sculpture\, painting\, drawing and ceramics. The faculty comprises of individuals with backgrounds in studio art and art education producing an exhibition that reflects a broad range of creative expression.  \nThe exhibition will run from August 24-Septemebr 21\, 2023. A reception will be held on Thursday\, September 7th from 6:30-8:00pm in the gallery. The exhibition is located in the Milliken Art Gallery and is free of charge. Gallery hours are 9:00 am–5:00 pm\, Monday-Friday and 2:00-5:00pm\, Sunday. The Gallery is closed during school holidays.

SUMMARY:Celebration of Life for Dr. Shannon Martin
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Shannon Martin was a beloved professor\, an excellent research scholar\, a clinical psychologist\, and dedicated member of our Psychology Department who joined Converse in 2016. Our hearts go out to Dr. Martin’s family\, her husband Stuart\, and her many friends as they mourn this painful loss. \nTo celebrate Dr. Martin and her life\, please join her husband\, family\, and the Converse Community for a Celebration of Life Service in Daniel performed by Reverend Eliza S. DeBevoise. Following the service\, there will be a reception in the Blackman Lobby. This Celebration will be at 1 pm\, August 25.
