SUMMARY:May Day Weekend 2025: A Family and Friends Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Join us May 1-3\, 2025!\nWe’re thrilled to welcome Valkyrie families to campus for May Day Weekend! Whether you swing by our tent for the Spartanburg Crit\, join us for a concert in Twichell\, or experience one of our many time-honored academic traditions — you won’t want to miss this wonderful opportunity to connect with the Converse community. \nTo join in the fun\, there is a $20 per person registration fee that provides admission to all events and meals listed on the schedule. Children ten and under are free. Converse faculty\, staff\, and students do not need to register. The reception starts at 5 PM followed by the awards program at 5:30 PM. \nDinner | Gee Dining Room | 5-7 PM\nGrab a plate and make connections with members of the Converse community! This meal is included in the registration fee. \nEnsemble Concert | Twichell Auditorium | 7:30-9 PM\nExperience an exceptional performance by the Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. \nFRIDAY\, MAY 2\, 2025\nCheck-In | Wilson Hall Lobby | 4:30-6 PM\nSwing by to pick up your swag bag! \nDinner | Gee Dining Room | 5-7 PM\nGrab a plate and make connections with members of the Converse community! This meal is included in the registration fee. \nTailgate at the Crit | Downtown Spartanburg | 5-9 PM\nJoin us at the Converse tent at the Spartanburg Crit\, a one-of-a-kind block party\, and watch cyclists race around the half-mile downtown course. Converse’s tent is located in spot M8\, which can be found on Main Street\, on the interior side closest to the Denny’s Building.
