Converse’s Math and Computer Science Department is excited to continue its participation in hosting a Girls Who Code Club. \nThis Club is designed to promote coding skills in girls in grades 6-12 and is FREE to all participants. No coding experience is required! Participants will work together to design a project using the skills they learn through each Girls Who Code session. \nOur club will be held online for the foreseeable future due to physical distancing practices. We will meet virtually to complete the same activities. RSVP here. \nOur meetings will be held weekly on Tuesday evening from 5:30 pm- 6:30 pm starting March 8\, 2022.

SUMMARY:Violins of Hope
DESCRIPTION:The Petrie School of Music\, in collaboration with Wofford College\, presents Violins of Hope\, a project of concerts based on a private collection of violins\, violas and cellos collected since the end of World War II. All instruments belonged to Jews before and during the war\, with many donated by or bought from survivors. \nThis event will feature a performance on the instruments by Dr. Courtney LeBauer\, a guest speaker\, and a special coordinating exhibit by Converse students under the supervision of Dr. Angela Esco Elder and Professor Meg Hanna Tominaga. DESCRIPTION:Commencement Ceremony for Converse Undergraduates who are receiving a degree. \nThis will be a ticketed event and the complimentary tickets can be reserved by the undergraduate the week of Commencement through the Converse Box Office. Tickets can be reserved once the undergraduate’s account(s) are cleared. These tickets can be reserved until Friday\, May 20 at 1 pm. \nCurrently\, five (5) complimentary tickets will be available to each graduating senior. If this number changes due to restrictions or limits\, you will be notified via your Converse email. There will be no tickets for purchase and at this time\, the University cannot commit to any additional tickets.
