Williams and Felder Receive All-Tournament

For the second time this season, junior setter Gretchen Williams (Camden,SC) received all-tournament recognition for her play this past weekend at the Mt. Olive Classic in Mt. Olive, NC. Joining her was junior middle blocker Letia Felder (Cayce, SC).
The All-Stars finished 3rd overall, winning 3 matches with only one loss to the host team, Mt. Olive. Tournament champion was Shephard College out of Virginia.
Williams averaged 9.54apg, had 21 kills out of 47 attempts for a .400 hitting percentage, and collected 22 digs. She also ranked 3rd on the team for blocks per game with 1.85. During the final match vs. Mt. Olive, Williams picked up her 3rd double-double of the season with 40 assists and 12 digs.
Felder followed just as impressively with a .460 hitting percentage (46k-7e-84a). Along with her strong net play, Felder was second in blocks with 25, for a 1.92 average. For the season, she leads the team in kills with a 2.61(193) average and blocks, 1.64 (121) average.
The All-Stars defeated the University of District Columbia, Fayetteville State and Barton College. The lone loss was dropped to Mt. Olive.
