Converse College Ranked Among Elite by U.S. News and World Report
According to U.S. News and World Report, Converse College continues to distinguish itself as one of the top educational institutions in the South. In the magazine’s annual “America’s Best Colleges” issue, Converse ranks 13th among Southern colleges and universities.
Converse President Nancy Oliver Gray said the rankings reflect the school’s continued ability to compete successfully against larger institutions in providing a quality education. “Converse has made significant progress in academic quality, campus enhancement, and institutional leadership over the last three years,” she said. “I am pleased our dedication to quality is reflected in the 2003 rankings.”
The rankings are founded upon various statistical measures, including student SAT/ACT scores, freshman retention rate, graduation rate, student/faculty ratio, and alumnae support.
