L3

Are you interested in leadership positions at your school?

Do you enjoy volunteering in the community?

Would you like to learn how to be a better leader through serving?

Join rising 10th and 11th grade young women who share a passion for service and leadership just like you:

  • Gain the skills to make a difference in your school and community
  • Make new friends with other teenage girls who are focused on becoming leaders
  • Experience the power of teamwork at its best
  • Learn from experienced college women who learn, serve and lead daily at Converse College

Experience Leadership

The camp will allow you to participate in team building games, work on community based projects, learn how to research information to make your case, learn about diversity and hear exciting guest speakers from the Daniels Center for Leadership and Service. Session topics will include examining your personal leadership style, researching for your cause, public speaking and presentations, time management and more.

Experience Service

Converse Back LawnYou will spend a half-day out in the Spartanburg Community serving and reflecting. Through this service you will be introduced to the concept of servant leadership. Some of the service areas include animals, education, senior care, and poverty. This is an excellent opportunity to give back to the community while bonding with other young women.

L3 Facilitators and Presenters:

Converse College students from the Daniels Center for Leadership and Service will lead you through L3. While many colleges throughout the country have separate leadership and service programs, very few connect the two directly. At Converse, the connection is intentional. Our student leaders are known throughout the region for their service projects, which build upon their natural leadership skills and self-discovery. The L3 program will have 1:6 ratio of trained college facilitators to participants.
