The department of Music Education and Therapy is dedicated to the music student who wishes to become a classroom music teacher or private studio teacher. Music Education and
Piano Pedagogy majors graduate as versatile, well-grounded musicians who have had the performance and education opportunities offered by the unique small-college atmosphere of Converse College.
The department offers the undergraduate degrees of Bachelor of Music in Music Education (Choral or Instrumental), Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy and Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy. At the graduate level, the department offers the Master of Music in Music Education, the Master of Music in Music Education with Initial Certification (Choral or Instrumental), and Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy.
