Bio

Dr. Erin R. Corrales-Diaz is the curator of the Johnson Collection in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She is a specialist in nineteenth- and twentieth-century American art with particular emphasis on art of the American Civil War and Reconstruction, African American art, and art of the American South. Corrales-Diaz earned a Ph.D. in art history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and holds an M.A. in art history from Williams College and a B.A. in art history from the University of Washington in Seattle.
