Travel

Arrival:
You should plan on arriving on Sunday afternoon. Check in (at Belk Hall) begins at 12:00 pm and ends at 5:00 pm.  PLEASE DO NOT PLAN ON ARRIVING ON MONDAY MORNING. We will begin at 8:30 am on Monday and those who arrive late will lose part of their stipend payments.

Travel by Car:
View driving directions and download a campus map. You will be able to park in the lot adjacent to Belk Hall.

Travel by Train:
There is an Amtrak station in downtown Spartanburg, two miles from campus.

Travel by Air:
The nearest airport is Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) which is served by US Airways, Delta, Northwest, and American.

Ground Transportation:

Taxi service is available from the airport. Limited shuttle service will be arranged. Details on this will be available in late spring.

Travel Supplement: NEH does provide for a supplement for each participant’s travel expenses, but we will not be processing these supplements until AFTER the workshop. We have a budget that we will use to defray as much of your travel costs as possible, but the exact amount of your travel supplement ultimately depends on the number of participants in the program and the mode of travel used by each.

All travel arrangements should be made with cost in mind.
