Saturday, January 2

By 3:30 pm Faculty check-in, Inn on Main.
1:00–3:30 pm Student check-in and registration, Pell Hall Lobby.
Student/Faculty ID’s made in Campus Safety between 3:00 and 4:30. You will need these for dining hall, residence hall and library use. Temporary parking permits may also be picked up from Campus Safety during this time.
4:30-5:30 pm New Student Orientation followed by Campus Tour, Stackhouse Parlor (Wilson Hall).
6:30 pm Opening Dinner for students and faculty. ( Private Dining Room, Gee Dining Hall)
8:00-8:45 pm Keynote Reading, Elizabeth Cox, visiting novelist (Barnet Room, Montgomery Student Center).
9:00-until Reception, Sneakers

Sunday, January 3

10:30 am-12:00 pm “Real toads outside imaginary boxes: a journey into visual and concrete poetry through the three dimensions of writing,” Craft Lecture and Q/A with Nick Carbo (Lecture will discuss a brief history of this multidisciplinary genre to find ways of expanding the
possibilities of words escaping from the static page. There will be some participatory exercises to produce works/pieces); Dalton Auditorium
