The Lawson Academy of the Arts Program at Converse College is pleased to announce Scholarship Auditions for study during the 2010-2011 academic year.

• Two compositions in contrasting styles
• Performance time – Minimum: three minutes, Maximum: five minutes Memorization is recommended for one composition. Accompanists are not provided or required; however, they do add a professional quality to the performance, and are therefore recommended.

• April 15-17, 2010
• Dance Audition opportunities are listed on the dance application form.

The Dicksie Cribb Instrumental Chamber Scholarship Competition is a special audition held during our scholarship weekend. Eligibility as to age is the same as above. Chamber groups of 3-10 members are asked to perform a 5-minute audition of 1 or more compositions. The winning ensemble will work together for the entire 2010-2011 school year, receiving 8 – 45 minute coaching sessions each semester with a Lawson Academy faculty member. (A student does not have to be studying privately in our program to participate in this chamber program.)
