| THE CAMP |
The Lawson Academy Fine Arts Day Camp features traditional games, food, and fun in an exciting, creative atmosphere. We provide all-day, well-supervised care as well as an artistic alternative to traditional daycare. Children attend daily interactive classes in art, music, theater, creative writing, and dance. To meet the needs of our campers’ families, we now offer four two-week sessions to fit your summer schedule. The lessons and activities in each session revolve around a selected theme in order to help the campers form connections among the arts areas. Thus campers who attend all four sessions will experience something fresh and new each session, while those who attend only one session will still receive a rich experience that can stand alone. |
| |
| THE GOAL |
We strive to build on our campers’ budding creativity and to introduce them to new avenues of art. Our goal is to provide a personal atmosphere in which students can have fun and learn cooperatively. Our teachers and counselors are fine arts and education majors from Converse College who have been recommended by Converse faculty and who have passed background checks, to ensure your child’s safety. While these students have received training in their respective fields and are fully capable of producing quality lessons to enrich your child’s experience in the arts, this is also an excellent experience for further cultivating the teachers of tomorrow. |

| AGES |
