Sign Seekers is a campus organization open to all students interested in learning about sign language and the people who use it and interacting with deaf and hard-of-hearing people. Activities will be designed to provide enjoyment while acquainting participants with the use of a visual-gestural mode of communication. Students are not expected to have any prior knowledge of sign language. A few basic signs will be introduced gradually for use in various activities. Plans for this year include holiday parties for the children at the South Carolina School for the Deaf, Christmas caroling in sign language, and a yearly donation to contribute to the students and staff at the South Carolina School for the Deaf.
