Dr. Faulkenberry joined the Converse College faculty in 2005 as Associate Dean of the School of Graduate Studies. Prior to joining the College, he worked for 36 years as a teacher, counselor, coach, school administrator, district administrator and superintendent in several South Carolina public school districts. His background includes experience in the areas of curriculum development, leadership and school improvement. He continues to work with the S. C. State Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in the areas of school improvement and accreditation.

Dr. Faulkenberry received his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from The University of South Carolina. He also holds degrees from Erskine College (B.S.) and Francis Marion University (M.Ed.)
