Valkyries Lose Final Game to No. 4 Limestone

SPARTANBURG, SC- The  No. 4 Saints of Limestone College extended their undefeated women's lacrosse season with a 20-3 win against the Valkyries on Tuesday, April 12. 

The Saints dominated the possession by controlling the ground balls, 37 to 13, and clearing 14 of 16 clear attempts.  This allowed them to post 49 shots, while the Valkyries only had 19.  Rashelle McLellan recorded the victory in goal for Limestone, while Madison Noland recorded the loss in goal for the purple and gold despite her impressive 18 save performance.

Chelsea Treat led Limestone with a 4 goal performance. Sarah Oor, Jessica Aquanno, Raquel Prager, and Katie Farrell each found the back of the net twice.  Oor also contributed 2 assists, while Aquanno had 1 assist.

For the Valkyries, sophomore Lacey Bevilacqua (Carlsbad, CA) had 2 goals and 1 assist, and sophomore Brooke Bondurant (Marietta, GA) added the third goal.

Converse finished the season with an overall record of 3-14, while Limestone (13-0) will look to continue their undefeated season in the Conference Carolinas Championship Tournament which starts on Saturday, April 16.
