Bridget Dullea Named First Team All-Conference and Rookie of The Year

Spartanburg, SC – Converse College’s Bridget Dullea has been named Conference Carolina’s Rookie of the Year and First Team-All Conference in women’s lacrosse, as announced on Thursday, April 22 by the conference office.
“I’m extremely honored to receive these awards as a freshman. I could not have won these without the support of my team and all of us having the same goal to make conference tournament,” responded Dullea. “Making conference tournament was our goal all season and we stayed in the hunt up to the end; the team and I are ready for next year so we can achieve that goal.”
Dullea, a freshman midfielder from Peabody, Massachusetts, leads the nation in goals with 75 in her first year of collegiate play. Dullea averaged 4.31 goals a game and 5.06 points a game, finishing 3rd and 15th respectively in those categories. Dullea contributed both offensively and defensively, averaging 1.81 caused turnovers per game and racking up 47 draw controls and 46 ground balls on the season.
“These honors couldn’t go to a more dedicated and hard working student-athlete,” commented Coach Julie Redman. “Bridget steps onto the field consciously aiming to better the team and improve as an individual athlete. These awards demonstrate how our program is making tremendous progress; I can’t wait to see what next year brings.”
