Soccer Slips to Bobcats 0-1
Spartanburg, SC-- The Lees-McRae Lady Bobcats shut out Converse College Tuesday night 0-1 on Fulp Field. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 5-9 on the season and 6-2 in Conference Carolinas action. The Valkyries fall to 3-14 overall.
For the match, Lees-McRae's Vickie Rich grabbed the only goal and game-winning shot when she capitalized on a serve from Shaina Ormsby early in the 6th minute. The Valkyries were unable to rally and were held to just 3 shots for the match. Lees-McRae tallied 7 total shots. Time ran out before Converse was able find the back of the net, ensuring the shut out for the Lady Bobcats.
Lees-McRae will visit Anderson University on Thursday, October 22nd while Converse travels to USC Aiken. Only one home match remains for Converse on Saturday October 31st against Limestone at 3pm.
