Student Recruitment

The Converse Alumnae Recruitment Effort (CARE) is composed of volunteer Converse alumnae and graduate alumni who are interested in increasing the strengths of our admissions efforts. As a Converse alumna, you can play a key role in ensuring that new generations have the opportunity to experience our College.

CARE volunteers are involved in the following activities:

  • Identify prospective students and refer them to the Office of Admission
  • Call and/or write prospective Converse students
  • Bring a prospective student on campus for a preview day program or a private visit
  • Shadow a Converse Admissions Counselor during a college fair or visit to a school
  • Attend college fairs in your area
  • Recommend local alumnae who are teachers or guidance counselors and would be good sources of student referrals

Alumnae and graduate alumni interested in becoming a CARE volunteer can contact the Alumnae Office at 864.596.9011 or fill out a CARE Volunteer Interest Form.

As a Converse alumna, you play an important role in ensuring that new generations have the opportunity to experience our College. In fact, students referred by alumnae show a higher potential of enrolling at Converse than all other forms of referral. Take a moment to provide us with the names of high school students you know so that we can introduce them to all the opportunities Converse has to offer. Refer a Prospective Student today!
