Converse alumnae and graduate alumni are important resources for the career development of students and alumnae. For career development resources, contact the Center for Student Development and Success. There are also many ways alumnae can help other alumnae and current students, including:
Network with your fellow Converse alumnae! Alumnae and graduate alumni can share information about their careers and possible positions within their fields, discuss living expenses and conditions within their geographical area, talk about schools which offer education in their career field, and often help make contacts with hiring personnel. If you are willing to be contacted by alumnae and current students for networking purposes, please contact the Alumnae Office at 864.596.9011 or indicate your interest in the Keep us Current form.
The Alumnae Mentoring Program brings together alumnae of various backgrounds to form a mentorship partnership with current Juniors. The Alumnae Office and the Center for Student Development and Success partner together for this exciting program which runs from late fall until spring of the academic year. This program aids in the students’ development of post-graduation plans and allows them to engage in a professional relationship and network with women in their field prior to graduating Converse.
Program alumnae participants will receive on-campus training to support their mentor relationship. Student participants will receive training on building professional relationships, as well as continued support from the staff of the Center for Student Development and Success. If you have any questions regarding the Alumnae Mentoring Program, please contact Nancy Smith Gage ’82, Alumnae Information Coordinator, at 864.596.9011 or indicate your interest by filling out the Alumnae Mentoring Program form.
