Did you ever wonder how all those great women end up on the Alumnae Board of Converse College?
The Converse College Alumnae Association board includes over 40 volunteer alumnae and graduate alumni of the college charged with serving as a link to the college, and encouraging alumnae involvement in the areas of student recruitment, financial support and volunteerism. Each board member is nominated and selected for a two-year term on the board. Board members may continue on the board in various capacities for up to 8 consecutive years. Board members are expected to attend three board meetings per year and participate in the college’s Annual Fund.
It takes time and energy to be part of the Alumnae Board, but the rewards are tremendous. Now is your chance to give back to the place that nurtured you and inspire other alumnae to do the same.
The process starts NOW with your nomination of yourself or someone else to fill one of the positions slated for official election. The Nomination Committee of the Alumnae Board reviews nominees and chooses a slate of candidates in the fall of each year for official election at the annual Alumnae Association meeting during Reunion weekend of each year. Terms for board members are two years and begin during Reunion weekend.
