Award Nominations

Did you ever wonder how Alumnae Award winners are determined?

The process starts NOW with your nomination of yourself or someone else to receive an Alumnae Award. The Records and Recognition Committee of the Alumnae Association Board reviews nominations for awards during the fall of each year and determines the slate of award winners. Alumnae Awards are awarded to alumnae during their Reunion year.

Alumnae Achievement Awards Nomination Form

The Records and Recognition Committee of the Converse College Alumnae Board is currently accepting nominations for Alumnae Achievement Awards.

Alumnae from the following classes are eligible for consideration for awards presented during Reunion 2013: The Golden Club, 1937, 1942, 1947, 1952, 1957, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007, and 2011.

Distinguished Alumna Award

Distinguished Alumna Award is given to an alumna in recognition of outstanding achievement in her field, service to her community, and loyalty to Converse College.

Mae Kilgo Spirit Award

Mae Kilgo Spirit Award is presented to an alumna who through her continual loyal service to Converse College has kept the College visible to other alumnae and to the community.

Community Service Award

Community Service Award recognizes the alumna who displays qualities of a vibrant citizen evident in her active involvement in her community, church, and state.

Career Achievement Award

Career Achievement Award recognizes the alumna who has dedicated herself to excellence in her profession and has distinguished herself by notable achievement credited to her over a continual period of time.

Career Achievement in Music Award

Career Achievement in Music Award recognizes the alumna who has dedicated herself to excellence in her profession in music and has distinguished herself by notable achievement credited to her over a continual period of time.

Converse 100

Converse 100, first presented during the College's Centennial, is given to a representative alumna who clearly embodies the qualities of character and achievement that Converse alumnae hold as their ideal.

Star Award

Star Award is given in recognition of an alumna who has actively and admirably served Converse in the area of student recruitment.

Young Alumna Award

Young Alumna Award first presented in 2008, this award is given to an alumna who embodies the qualities of character and achievement that Converse alumnae hold as their ideal. This award is presented within fifteen (15) years of graduation.
