More than 90% of Converse students receive scholarships and/or financial aid, with an average award package of $18,500.  The actual cost of attending Converse compares very favorably to what you’d pay to attend a state university, plus you’ll graduate in 4 years (95% of our graduates do).

File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The most important step in the financial aid process is completing and submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  This should be done as soon as possible after January 1 of the year in which you intend to enroll.  The form is available online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.  Be sure to include the Converse FAFSA code 003431. The FAFSA determines your eligibility for all need-based aid programs.

Talent-Based Scholarships for Entering Freshmen

In addition to The Converse Committment scholarships, Converse offers talent-based scholarships to students majoring in art and design, music, and theatre based on the successful completion of an audition or portfolio review.  Students who wish to be considered for talent-based scholarships should register to attend a Performing and Visual Arts Scholarship Day. As an NCAA Division II institution, Converse awards athletic scholarships in soccer, tennis, swimming, volleyball, basketball, lacrosse and cross-country. Scholarships are also offered through the College’s IHSA equestrian program.

Scholarships for Transfer Students

Students who apply to Converse with more than 30 semester hours are eligible for Transfer Academic Scholarships.
