Auditioning for Petrie School of Music

You must schedule an audition by completing the Undergraduate Music Audition Application online or print it (PDF) and mail it in. In addition to being admitted to Converse College, please complete the Learn more about audition requirements. Students unable to audition in person must submit a high-quality audition recording. VHS or DVD is preferred, although cassette or CD will be accepted. The recording must clearly identify the applicant's name, instrument, and audition repertoire. Recordings will not be returned.

Music scholarships are awarded on the basis of talent and academic achievement. If you are majoring in music or double majoring in music and another field, you are eligible to be considered for a music scholarship. Music minors are required to audition for admittance into the Petrie School of Music. Minors are also considered for scholarships on a limited basis.
