How to Apply - Undergraduate

You want to surround yourself with opportunity, support and excitement. You want to grow and evolve to be the best person you can be. You want to become a woman with great friends and unlimited possibilities. Applying for admission to Converse is a step towards all that.

Our application process is uncomplicated and our admissions staff is accessible. Just follow the steps below to ensure you meet all the deadlines. There are a few additional steps for transfer students or international students, and students auditioning for admission to the Petrie School of Music.

Procedure for Applying

1. First, complete the application. You can do this through the Common Application, apply online, or print it out (PDF) and mail it in. You should include a list of activities, leadership positions, and length of involvement or a resume of activities with your application. 

2. Send a recommendation. Either use the Guidance Counselor/Teacher Recommendation Form (PDF) or send a letter of recommendation from a teacher. If you’ve been home schooled, we need a recommendation from someone who knows you outside of your coursework.

3. Submit your SAT or ACT test scores. Have them sent directly to Converse, which you can do from the ACT website or the SAT website or you can have your high school submit them. Our SAT code is 5121, and the ACT code is 3852.

4. Submit your high school transcript. You will need to request that your guidance counselor send an official copy of your high school transcript. 

5. Schedule an audition. If you are applying to the Petrie School of Music, complete the Undergraduate Music Audition Application online or print it out (PDF) and mail it in. You must also fulfill all audition requirements. All music majors and minors must audition to be accepted to the school of music. Students auditioning for the Petrie School of Music will be considered for music scholarships.

6. Non-Degree Applicants

Please fill out the Non-Degree Application (PDF) if you are a high school student interested in dual enrollment or a student wishing to enroll in one course at Converse.
