The Study of Literature as well as broad survey courses
in both British and American Literature
The program also includes more specialized advanced courses,
Medieval
Literature, World Literature, Topics in Renaissance
Studies, Shakespeare, Twentieth-Century Fiction,
Twentieth-Century Poetry, and Women Writers.
A strong background in literature helps to complement
the experiences in critical and creative writing,
preparing students for graduate study, professional
careers, or any field where effective communication
is essential.
