Mrs. Spearman has been dancing for twenty- eight years and has had extensive training in all dance idioms. She began dancing at the age of three at a local dance studio in Massachusetts.
Mrs. Spearman received her BFA in Dance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and received a full talent scholarship. She was part of the University Dancers Company for two years and taught non-major dance courses in the dance department for three years.
Jennifer received a MFA in dance from SUNY Brockport in Rochester, NY where she had a full teaching fellow. She danced in faculty and graduate performances. In the fall of 2001, Mrs. Spearman moved to South Carolina and was appointed the Head Dance Instructor at Converse College. Her duties include teaching modern, jazz, ballet, dance history, composition, tour director, and being the director of the Dance Ensemble. Mrs. Spearman is on the dance faculty at the Alia Lawson Pre-College program and has taught at Ballet Spartanburg and the Teele School of Dance in Spartanburg.
