You can help us prevent crime on campus. As part of the educational mission of the College, the Department of Campus Safety works to teach the campus community how to best protect themselves and their property. The cooperation, involvement, and personal support of students, faculty, and staff in a campus safety program are crucial to the program's success. Students and employees must assume responsibility for their own personal safety and the security of their personal belongings by taking simple, common sense precautions.
- Do not prop open or unlock exterior doors to the residential areas.
- Lock residence hall rooms and offices even when leaving for a short time.
- Mark valuable items with an engraving instrument.
- Secure bicycles with a sturdy lock.
- Park your vehicle in your assigned area and keep it locked. Keep valuables out of sight or lock them in the trunk.
- Report suspicious-looking individuals to Campus Safety at ext. 9026.
- Don't hesitate to call Campus Safety at ext. 9026 for an after-dark escort.
