Sonja Condit Coppenbarger
Bassoon

Born in London, England, Ms. Coppenbarger studied at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada and at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. She has been the principal bassoonist in the Greenville Symphony Orchestra since 1996 and in the Hendersonville Symphony since 2002. She has performed as a concerto soloist with the Greenville Symphony Orchestra and has performed many recitals in the area. Currently she is the bassoon instructor at Converse College, North Greenville College, and South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. She is married to Dr. Brent Coppenbarger, with two small children and one large dog.
