Am I required to bring a PC to Converse?
No. While we recommend that you have a PC in your room, this is not required. The College has three Windows PC computer labs, and these labs can be used by all students.

Do I need a printer for my PC?
Having a printer in your room is definitely convenient, but entirely optional. High-speed laser printers are available in all of the College’s computer labs.

Should I bring an electrical power strip/surge suppressor for my PC?
Yes! We recommend the four- or six-receptacle models made by companies that will reimburse you for electrical surge damage to equipment plugged into their surge suppressors.
Protecting and insuring your PC and printer are your responsibility.

Will I be able to send electronic mail to my family and friends who have Internet addresses?
Yes. All students (whether they have a PC in their room or not) are given an e-mail account that enables them to receive campus and Internet mail messages. Freshmen receive their accounts during orientation.
