Boone Scholarship through the Waccamaw Community Foundation This scholarship is offered through the Converse College Petrie School of Music and provides aid for graduate students (preferably from Horry County, SC) majoring in music. Eligible scholarship recipients must be graduate students who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have demonstrated financial need. First preference is for music students from Horry County, SC. If there are no eligible students from Horry County, the scholarship may be awarded to music students meeting the above criteria from the state of SC. Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Scholarships A gift from the estate of Claude and Mildred C. Huggins established three scholarships each for one thousand dollars, to be awarded annually in honor of the twelve charter members of the Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, an organization that honors outstanding educators. The recipients of the scholarships must be residents of Abbeville, Greenwood, or Newberry Counties. The Epsilon Scholarships will be awarded annually to education majors in their junior or senior year of study. The basis of the award will be good moral character, scholarship, leadership potential, and future usefulness to society. Institute of International Education

The King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is being built in Saudi Arabia as an international, graduate-level research university.  KAUST will grant the KAUST Discovery Scholarship to highly talented students currently one to three years from graduation from first-level, bachelors or undergraduate degree study at public and private universities.

KAUST will offer a pre-enrollment version of this general scholarship program to students attending bachelor's degree programs.

KAUST will provide financial support to pre-enrollment Discovery Scholarship recipients at their home institutions prior to the University's opening. Upon graduation, these students will enter KAUST as master's degree students in September 2009 and 2010 to complete their graduate studies on a fully-funded scholarship, including tuition, housing and travel costs
