During Converse CareerView, I would like to:
- learn all aspects of preparation for entry, including education and training.
- observe and experience the day-to-day activities of the occupation.
- become aware of the particular challenges, frustrations, and problems of working in this field.
- learn the personal attributes, skills, and talents necessary to be effective in the field.
- find out the fringe benefits and rewards of working in this profession.
- discover what earnings and advancement opportunities exist.
- learn about the outlook for this occupation, including present changes and developments, amount of people entering the profession (too many, too few?), expectations for growth, etc.
- find ways to learn more about the field.
- determine the benefits of pursuing cooperative education or an internship to better prepare myself for the career.
