Converse College Reunion 2010

Converse welcomes back all alumnae for Reunion Weekend 2010 - April 23 - 24, 2010. Classes ending in 5 and 0, the Golden Club, and the Class of 2009 will be celebrating milestone Reunions this weekend.

Engage with the campus and its community as you enjoy:

• Founder's Day/Reunion Convocation
  Celebrate Founder's Day Convocation on Friday with faculty, staff, and students. Welcome address from President Fleming and induction of the Class of 1960 into the Golden Club. Reunioning alumnae will process into Twichell Auditorium by class.
• Founder's Day Luncheon
  Join the Converse community for lunch on the lawn after Founder's Day on Friday. As is tradition, Dexter Edgar Converse's favorite dessert, strawberries and cream, will be served.
• Alumnae College
  Classes led by Converse faculty and alumnae include Model Arab League Demonstration, Women's Health Presentation and Fine Art Silk Screen Workshop on Friday afternoon.
• Reunion cocktail Party and BBQ Picnic
  Friday evening enjoy cocktails and a BBQ picnic with all reunioning classes on the back lawn (quad) beside the Montgomery Student Center. (Rain location - Hannah Gym, Weisiger Athletic Center)
• Breakfast with President Betsy Fleming
  Saturday morning hear an update from President Fleming about where Converse is headed in the 21st Century.
• Awards Luncheon
  Presentation of Alumnae Achievement Awards, election of Alumnae Board nominees, and presentation of "It's a Class Act" reunion giving awards.
• The Emerging Spirit Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition
  Reunion weekend is the kick-off for a series of 14 thought-provoking sculptures created by Berry Bate '75 for a year-long exhibition at Converse College. The exhibitions's theme is women's roots, community spirit, unity and strength and how Converse has fostered those traits in many young women. Enjoy a slide lecture and walking tour of the exhibition on Saturday.
• Class Dinner
  Enjoy an evening with your classmates Saturday night!
