2008-2009 Undergraduate Comprehensive Fees

The following fees apply to 2008-2009 undergraduate academic year. This includes the Fall term, January term, and Spring term.

Tuition: $300/credit hour ($375/credit hour for DIS)

Private Music Lessons (summer):  
    $225 for 5 one-hour lessons

Special fees for laboratory, studio art, computer programming, and other courses requiring special materials.

Students at Converse pay a comprehensive fee depending on their boarding status. Students living on campus are charged the full comprehensive fee which covers tuition, and room and board. As a result of the comprehensive fee, students are not charged incidental fees throughout the year. There may be, however, fees associated with classes that require special materials such as laboratory classes, computer programming classes, and music fees. Students living at home are charged the cost of tuition and applicable special materials fees.  

 

The comprehensive fee includes:
  • free use of the laundry facilities located in each residence hall
  • registration fee
  • student activity fee
  • unlimited Internet access through network
  • e-mail at exchange.converse.edu
  • cable television hookup in each residence hall room
  • microfridge provided in each residence hall room
  • free local telephone service
  • a campus parking permit
  • health services, including counseling if needed
  • choice of meal plans
  • access to fitness center and indoor swimming pool
  • 24-hour emergency assistance through Converse Public Safety
  • a Converse College yearbook
  • free admission to athletic, cultural, and other events offered on campus
