The Dance Minor program consists of 21 credit hours of courses in theory, composition, technique, and history. Acceptance into the minor is by auditions that are held twice a year: (1) in the spring for returning students, and (2) in the fall for new students.
Technique courses are offered in the genres of Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Modern Dance at the beginning, intermediate and advanced skill levels. Performance opportunities exist in the Converse Dance Ensemble, that performs two public concerts each year plus a number of tours to area schools and special on-campus events. These performances are meant to showcase the talents of student dancers and choreographers.
