Departmental seminars allow a student to investigate a topic of
particular interest in mathematics, computer science, or physics.
She will write a paper on a particular topic and present a report to peers and professors.
|
Recent seminar topics have included:
- research on artificial intelligence and neural
networks using a computer code to create a neural network which can
successfully interpret brief English sentences
- using the internet to study planetary movement through the Haystack Observatory at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
