COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICS  STUDIES FOR NON-MAJORS
Computer Science Studies
If a student is majoring in other disciplines at Converse, she'll find that computer classes make her more marketable to employers.

Computer Science courses non-majors may want to take to enhance their marketability include:

CSC 101 Computer Literacy
CSC 201 Introduction to Computing
CSC 304 Visual Basic Programming
CSC 280 Business Software
More and more students are arriving to Converse with excellent computer skills, but if a student needs to improve basic computer skills, she should enroll in the Computer Literacy class. In this class, a student develops her computer skills in word processing, electronic spreadsheets, graphics, data communication, and use of the internet as a learning tool.
Mathematics Studies
Mathematics Courses non-majors may want to take to improve their quantitative skills include:

Math 105 College Algebra
Math 108 Finite Mathematics
Math 110 Elementary Functions
Math 120 Calculus I

Though there are many courses at Converse that improve quantitative
skills, a foundation class for many Converse women is College Algebra. A student may exempt this class to take advanced mathematics classes, such as Calculus.
